About
I am very warm, compassionate and funny…at least I think I’m funny! I believe a good sense of humor is essential during therapy. My tendency is to be more directive in my counseling approach and feedback. Overall, I strive to provide a safe and comfortable environment that will allow you to heal and recover. I would love an opportunity to work with you on overcoming the challenges that are weighing you down.

Geni Hutchings, LPC-Associate
supervised by Cory Bertrand
About
I strive to provide a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow. I have a special passion for helping couples rediscover the love, connection, and partnership they once shared while developing healthier ways to communicate, navigate conflict, and strengthen their relationship.
I believe we are all created in the image of God, with inherent value and purpose. Sometimes life can make it difficult to remember those truths. But I want you to know this: Your worth has never changed. Your story isn't over. Healing and growth are possible. My goal is to help you rediscover who you were created to be and move toward the life and relationships you desire.
There is hope. All you have to do is reach out, and we'll work through the rest together.
Christian counseling is available upon request.

About
Life hits hard, leaving deep wounds that won’t go away on their own. You might have experienced sexual abuse, addiction, dissociation, or extreme emotional reactions like rage, anxiety, panic attacks, or deep depression. But you are not a broken person who needs to be fixed. You are surviving - adapting to the situations you have been through. This cycle doesn’t need to continue; the pattern can be broken. Working together, we can bring a sense of calm and control to your body and brain. We will work towards the root of the problem, taking care to go at your pace, working through whatever comes up together without judgment.
Reaching out for help can be difficult, especially if you have felt stuck or hopeless before. I am here to listen to you with patience and a desire to understand you, because I know that your struggle makes sense with your story. Whether you have tried therapy before or this is your first time, the next step in your healing journey is the most important one.

I specialize in Brainspotting, a powerful body-based therapy similar to EMDR. Brainspotting gets to and processes what talk therapy often can’t reach and is a flexible approach fit for any situation. Brainspotting works deeply within the brain, increasing felt calmness and self-control as the traumatic experiences are processed. I also use other mindfulness-based methods to approach your individual needs in the most grounded way possible.
