Is a term I coined to discuss the need for individuals to relearn how to have healthy relationships. That can apply to a current relationship however it is more focused on learning what it takes to have a healthy relationship in the future.

Many of us did not have role models nor were taught how to have healthy successful relationships. We were just released as teenagers to date and figure it out. Not knowing anything about relationship red flags, power and control, abuse, manipulation, tension building, aggression, passive aggression, conflict resolution, healthy communication skills, boundaries, how to say no etc. The point is most of us are not equipped to have healthy relationships therefore we don’t and experience a multitude of unsuccessful relationships.

Reworking Relationships is about focusing on yourself, what role you play in unhealthy relationships, exploring what makes you vulnerable to unhealthy relationships, skill building to safeguard yourself from unhealthy relationships, learning what a healthy partner encompasses for you, defining your needs, wants, and deal breakers.

This is not a superficial exploration in finding someone rich and attractive. This is about searching for a best friend, a future spouse, so that you can spend a lifetime happily together!
