Cory is a wonderful counselor! She is warm, funny and most of all caring! There is a genuine feeling that you matter to Cory; over time you feel like your talking to a friend that cares about you. She can be very direct, as one would expect of someone with your best interests at heart. I highly recommend Cory and thank her for the guidance she provided me during a very challenging relationship in my life.
~ Anonymous Male Client
I have almost a decade of experience working with survivors of abuse (verbal, emotional, psychological, physical, sexual, spiritual, and financial). I strive to provide a safe counseling environment that allows clients to process crisis and trauma experienced in their lives. A personal goal of mine is to impact lives through positive change. I desire to assist clients in being proactive rather than reactive to difficult life experiences. I am passionate about equipping clients with healthy relationship skills that will empower them to rework relationships or pursue healthier ones.
I am very warm, compassionate and funny…at least I think I am funny! During counseling I utilize a Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Perspective, tending to be more directive in my counseling approach and feedback.
I believe that we are all fearfully and wonderfully made and that God did not make a mistake when he created you. Everyone experiences struggle in their lives; but it is your response to those challenges that determines the overall impact it will have on your life. Counselors serve as a light to come along side individuals when they feel lost in the darkness of their own lives.
